Learnings
Foundation check
See what each finished test has written down, and what to fill in to make its learning sharper.
A learning is only as good as what the test recorded. The foundation check shows, for every finished test on the website, which of five things it has: a hypothesis, notes, an expected mechanism, a PXL score and a debrief.
It is on the Learnings setup screen, so a team can see the state of its records before switching learnings on, and it stays one click away from the Evidence view afterwards. It only reads what is there, so it writes nothing and costs nothing.
Nothing on the list is required. A test with gaps still counts in the patterns, because a missing hypothesis does not change what the test measured. What the gaps cost is precision: without an expected mechanism a test cannot join the mechanism patterns, and without a debrief its card has no team’s read beside it and no reported outside factors.
Filling the gaps is ordinary work in the experiment itself: the hypothesis, mechanism and PXL score in its brief, and the debrief once it ends.
