Experimentation

Open the editor from the site you are already looking at, on the experiment you are already thinking about.

The extension is the way into the editor. It sits in the browser toolbar, works out which website you are on, and lists that site’s experiments with their variants. Picking one opens the editor on the page in front of you rather than on whichever page the experiment was created from.

That detail is the whole point. Ideas arrive while you are looking at a page, and the distance between having one and building it is where most of them die. Opening the editor from the page removes the trip through a dashboard, a website picker and a URL field.

You sign in to the extension with the same account as the console, including passkeys, so there is no second credential to manage and access follows the same roles as everything else.

The extension only ever drives the editor. It is not required for an experiment to run, and visitors never load anything it installs.
