Pertento for Mixpanel
The variant is a property on the exposure event, and optionally on the profile, which is a decision worth making deliberately.

Mixpanel treats a product as a stream of events, so Pertento sends the exposure as one, with the experiment and variant attached. Reports can then be broken down by variant without any of them being rebuilt. Setting the variant on the user profile as well makes cohorts persist beyond the session, which is useful for a test whose effect shows up days later and misleading once the experiment has ended, so it is worth deciding on purpose rather than by default.
