Piwik PRO is usually chosen for its consent management and its data residency, and Pertento complicates neither: the tag sets no cookies and collects no personal data, so an exposure is a page-level fact rather than something that needs consent to record. The variant is sent as a custom dimension and read alongside everything else. Where consent gates your analytics but not the experiment, the two will legitimately report different totals, and it is worth knowing why before somebody asks.
