Pertento and Qliro partner to bring data driven payment evaluation to e-commerce

Pertento and Qliro have partnered to bring controlled A/B testing to payment provider evaluation. Merchants can now test Qliro directly against competing checkout solutions and measure the real impact on conversion, revenue, and checkout performance.

Pertento and Qliro partner to bring data driven payment evaluation to e-commerce

We are excited to announce a new partnership between Qliro, one of the leading payment providers in the Nordics, and Pertento, the experimentation platform built for modern e-commerce.

Through this partnership, Qliro will use Pertento. The goal is simple. Allow merchants to measure the real impact of different checkout solutions on conversion rate, revenue, and overall checkout performance.

Instead of relying on assumptions, merchants can now evaluate payment providers using real customer behavior and statistically sound experiments.

Why payment experiments matter

The checkout is one of the most critical parts of the customer journey. Even small differences in payment experience can affect:

  • Checkout conversion rate
  • Completed transactions
  • Average order value
  • Payment method adoption
  • Customer trust and repeat purchases

Despite this, many merchants still choose payment providers based on feature comparisons, pricing, or anecdotal case studies.

With experimentation, merchants can make the decision based on actual performance in their own store.

Using Pertento, traffic can be split between two payment providers while everything else in the checkout remains identical. This creates a controlled test where the impact on conversion and revenue can be measured with precision.

Full conversion transparency without personal data

One of the challenges with measuring payment performance is incomplete data. Many analytics and testing tools depend on cookies or personal identifiers, which means conversions can be lost due to consent restrictions or tracking limitations.

Pertento takes a different approach.

Because the platform does not rely on personal data, experiments can capture the full set of conversions without being affected by consent restrictions. This allows merchants and payment providers to see the true performance impact of a checkout solution.

For Qliro, this creates a level of transparency that is difficult to achieve with traditional analytics setups. Results reflect the real performance of each payment provider, not just the subset of users who allow tracking.

Data driven onboarding for merchants

The partnership also introduces a new way for merchants to evaluate payment providers during onboarding.

Instead of committing to a full migration upfront, merchants can run a controlled experiment where part of the checkout traffic uses the existing payment provider while another part uses Qliro.

Within a short period of time, merchants can clearly see the difference in key performance metrics and make a decision based on measurable results.

A new standard for evaluating payment providers

Payments play a major role in overall e-commerce performance, yet they are rarely evaluated through controlled experiments.

By combining Qliro’s checkout solution with Pertento’s experimentation platform, merchants can now test payment providers in the same way they test product pages, pricing strategies, or promotions.

The result is a more transparent and data driven way to optimize one of the most important parts of the online shopping experience.

We are looking forward to helping merchants unlock measurable improvements in checkout performance together with Qliro. :)
