We are gradually rolling out a major performance update to the Pertento runtime, reducing script weight from an already small 14 KB to just 0.5 KB. This is a significant engineering milestone and reflects our long-term focus on making experimentation effectively invisible to site performance.
At 0.9 KB, Pertento is in a category of its own when it comes to experimentation performance.
For customers, this means faster activation, lower JavaScript overhead, and virtually no measurable impact on Core Web Vitals. The smaller runtime reduces parsing and execution cost on all devices, including low-powered mobile hardware, and minimizes the risk that experimentation tooling interferes with user experience, SEO, or conversion performance.
The update is being rolled out automatically and progressively across all accounts. No action or configuration changes are required. Customers will benefit from the lighter runtime as it becomes available to their sites.
