Connecting another MCP client

Pertento works with any app that supports remote MCP servers, not only Claude and ChatGPT. Here is how to connect one.

Claude, Claude Code and ChatGPT are the apps we have checked and mark as verified, but Pertento's MCP server follows the open standard. Any assistant, code editor or agent framework that can use a remote MCP server over HTTP can connect to it.

Using Lovable? See Connecting Lovable.

You need the server address, and one of two ways to sign in:

https://app.pertento.ai/mcp

With a personal token

If the app lets you add a header to an MCP server, this is the most dependable route.

  1. 1In Pertento, open Settings → Agent access, click New token, and choose its scopes, websites and how long it lasts.
  2. 2Copy the token. It is shown only once.
  3. 3In your app, add a remote (HTTP) MCP server with the address above and this header:
Authorization: Bearer ptk_…

Where the address and the header go differs from app to app, often a settings screen or a configuration file, so follow your app's own instructions for adding a remote MCP server.

With sign-in

If the app can sign in to MCP servers (often called OAuth), add the address and leave any client ID and secret empty. The app opens Pertento's consent screen, where you choose the scopes, websites and how long the connection lasts, and confirm with your password.

An app we have not checked is shown as an Unverified app, with a warning that anyone can publish an app under any name. That does not mean something is wrong. Check that the web address the screen shows for the app is the one you expect before you click Allow.

Not every app's sign-in works with Pertento. If yours fails, use a personal token instead.

The same rules apply

However you connect, the app can only do what you allowed, on the websites you picked. It only edits drafts, previews anything that changes what visitors see, and can be revoked at any time. See How an assistant makes live changes safely.
