The full list is also behind the keyboard icon in the floating toolbar at the bottom of the canvas. Shortcuts work as soon as you click an element on the page.
Saving and history
- ⌘S or Ctrl+S: save
- ⌘Z or Ctrl+Z: undo
- ⇧⌘Z or Ctrl+Shift+Z: redo
- Ctrl+Y (Windows and Linux): redo
Inside a text field, ⌘Z undoes your typing rather than the last change on the page.
The selected element
- E: Edit HTML
- D: Duplicate
- H: Hide, keeping its space
- A: Add element, which opens the Add tab
- Backspace: Remove element
- Shift+Enter: Select parent
- Alt+↑ and Alt+↓: Move up and Move down
- Shift+F10, or the Menu key: open the element menu
- Double-click: edit text in place
- Shift+click: add to the selection
Editing text in place
- ⌘B, ⌘I and ⌘U: bold, italic and underline
- Enter, or clicking away: finish editing
- Shift+Enter: line break
- Escape: cancel
The element menu
The menu supports the arrow keys (they wrap around), Home and End, type-ahead, Right and Left for submenus, and Escape.
Why Edit HTML and Duplicate are single letters
They used to be ⌘E and ⌘D. Chrome and other extensions reserve those keys: ⌘D bookmarks the page, and ⌘E is taken by another extension. Single letters work everywhere.
