Plans, Sessions and Your Monthly Allowance
Learn what a session is, how your plan's monthly allowance is counted across your websites, and how to read the usage panel in Settings.

Every Pertento plan includes every feature. Plans differ in two things only: how many sessions a month they include, and how many AI credits a month. Every plan includes unlimited websites, users and experiments.
The plans
- Start: 100,000 sessions and 2,000 AI credits a month.
- Grow: 250,000 sessions and 3,000 AI credits a month.
- Scale: 600,000 sessions and 5,000 AI credits a month.
- Business: 1,100,000 sessions and 7,500 AI credits a month.
- Unlimited: no session limit, and 12,500 AI credits a month.
Prices are on the pricing page and are in euros, excluding VAT. Paying yearly costs 20% less than twelve monthly payments, and a yearly plan still has a monthly allowance.
AI credits pay for the AI features, including Ask about this experiment, the AI assistant in every experiment. Invoiced and free accounts are not on AI credits and share a monthly allowance instead. See AI Credits and Credit Packs.
What a session is
A session is one browser tab on one of your websites with the Pertento script running. It continues across reloads and further pages in that tab, and ends when the tab is closed. A new tab, or a different website or subdomain, starts a new session. The console describes it as "Counted once per visitor tab per website".
A survey being shown counts the same way. A visitor who sees an experiment and a survey in the same tab is one session, not two.
Your allowance is per account
The allowance belongs to the account, not to a website. Every website in the account counts against the same allowance. Nothing is shared between accounts, so if you manage several accounts, each has its own plan and its own allowance.
When it resets
Your plan period runs monthly from the day your subscription started, not by calendar month. A plan that started on the 14th resets on the 14th of each month. Unused sessions do not carry over to the next period.
Reading your usage
Go to Settings then Billing. The Usage this period panel shows:
- Sessions this period: how many you have used out of your allowance, as a bar, with the share used and a projection of where you will be by the end of the period at the current rate.
- Resets: the date the next period starts.
Usage is updated hourly. On the Unlimited plan the panel says your plan has no session limit.
The header of every page also shows a usage pill with sessions used against your allowance and your AI credit balance. It turns yellow from 80% of your allowance and red once you are over, and clicking it opens Billing.
Below the usage panel, Daily usage charts sessions per day. It shows the calendar month, while your allowance runs by plan period, so near the turn of the month the two cover slightly different days.
When your count is the one that matters
Pertento's session count is the one your plan is measured against. If you believe a count is wrong, email us within 30 days of the end of that period.
Going over
Going over your allowance once costs nothing. What happens if it keeps happening is explained in Going Over Your Session Allowance.
