The sidebar
The sidebar groups the console into sections:
- Overview: the Dashboard, and for agencies, Clients.
- Monitors: Health, Performance and Program.
- Experiments: Library, Pipelines, Combination Report and Implementation.
- Surveys: Library.
- Websites: your websites, and the Google Analytics connection.
- Settings: General, Account, the team pages and Billing. This section is collapsed until you open it.
Counts next to Clients and Websites show how many you have.
At the bottom, Tours offers Take the platform tour for a guided introduction, and Show me this page for a short tour of whichever page you are on. Documentation opens these guides.
Hide or show the sidebar with the button at the top left, or press Cmd+B on a Mac or Ctrl+B on Windows. On a phone, the sidebar opens as a drawer and closes with Escape.
Switching account and website
The two pickers in the header choose the Account and the Website you are working on. Both are searchable, which helps once an agency has a long roster.
- Picking an account also selects its first website.
- If you switch while looking at an experiment, you are taken back to the Experiment Library, because that experiment belongs to the website you left.
Most pages show the selected website. Health is the exception, as it covers every account you can reach.
The header
From left to right after the pickers:
- The attention pill, for example "2 broken · 3 to decide". It counts experiments that need you and opens the Dashboard. See How Pertento Decides What Needs Your Attention.
- The usage pill: sessions used against your plan's allowance, and your AI credit balance. It turns yellow from 80% of your allowance and red once you are over, and opens Billing. See Plans, Sessions and Your Monthly Allowance.
- The notification bell. See Notifications in Pertento.
- The theme toggle, for light or dark mode.
- Your account menu, under your photo or initials, showing your name and email, with Sign out.
Inside an experiment
An experiment has four tabs: Settings, Brief, Statistics and Debrief. On desktop, its Start or End button, Enforce rules and the ⋯ menu (Duplicate, Archive, Delete) sit in the bar at the top of the page, beside the breadcrumb, and stay there as you scroll. On a phone they are in the experiment's header.
The experiment's header also has the Ask about this experiment field on every tab, where you can ask the AI assistant about the experiment. See Asking AI about an experiment.
The log panel
On desktop, a collapsible panel along the bottom of the console has two tabs: recent activity, and the attention list.
Banners
A banner across the top of the console appears for account-wide states that need action: the days left in a free trial, a failed payment, or an account without an active plan.
